This is a collaboration techo with the SUPER Famicom™ game “MOTHER 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back!” (EarthBound in North America, released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 1994), for which Shigesato Itoi was the game designer.
The design features Dungeon Man, one of the most memorable characters in the game. A man named Brick Road devoted his life to building dungeons, and ultimately achieved his dream of becoming the first man in history to transform into a living dungeon.
◆
Welcome.
You are inside of my body.
...Brick Road
The cover is made with a khaki colored cotton material and is covered front-to-back with various billboards, items, and enemies discovered throughout the four-story giant. The pixel art is not only printed on the cover, but some are even embroidered to give them a textured feel. Images include that of Dungeon Man, his original form Brick Road, the submarine, the sign from the Brick Road Maze, billboards with silly messages, and gift boxes.
When you open the cover, the inner pocket is embroidered with Brick Road’s face, just like you see it stuck in the inner wall of Dungeon Man.
Dungeon Man is one of the most tenacious characters Ness and friends meet in the game. We hope you pour your own wishes into this techo and make your dreams come true, too.
Now wait a minute, youngster!
This cover comes with a free bonus, the “Hint Man Grid Notebook.” There are glossy-print images on each side of the cover, with the Hint Man on the front and Ness visiting the hint stand on the back.
The compact notebook is 8cm (~3") tall, and the grid size is the same 3.7mm as the standard techo. There are 48 pages, so you can write down hints on life you want to remember or information you want to share with others. Then,
◆for sure, without fail, certainly, something wonderful will happen.
