The history of the Waldmann began in 1918 in Pforzheim, the traditional German jewellery metropolis in the Black Forest, as a production site for high-quality gold and silver mechanical pencils. This was followed by the development and production of fountain pens and ballpoint pens made of metals such as brass, silver or 18-carat gold.
Everything that leaves the company's own production has been manufactured by skilled craftsmen with many years of experience using traditional handcrafted techniques still painstakingly and lovingly doing manual work. The enthusiasm for innovation, modern techniques and filigree hand crafting has been a longstanding tradition.
As in the founding year, Waldmann still manufactures 100% of its writing instruments in Germany today, therefore the products from the Waldmann manufactory rightly bear the signature “Made in Germany”.
